Minor Scratch on the side

Hi,

I have had my watch for about 3 years, and recently I dropped it causing a tiny scratch on the side. It is not indented and is literally only a surface scratch, probably only removing some of the polish. I was wondering what would be the best way to remove it. I live close to NY, and would be able to bring it to the service center there (which I have been told shaves a couple days off of your waiting time). Besides that, I am hoping that there would be a better way than having to send the watch by snailmail and waiting 5-6 weeks. Thanks for any help you could provide.

Any local jeweler with a polishing wheel should be all it takes... also RSC will not polish your watch without servicing of the movement first...

If it's very light try a cape cod cloth.

My advice leave it well alone you can bet if you get it polished you will scratch it again.Cannot see the problem with scratches of any kind thats a fact of wearing a wrist watch. Now when service is due those very nice people at the RSC will return your watch as good as new.If you want to get it polished every time you get a tiny scratch it will be expensive for you and your watch in the long run.
