I love my Exp, so versatile and goes with any occasion! I looked at the 111 pam, didn't like it in person, felt light and not what I wanted from a PAM, you may want to look at the PAM 251. The 251 has a nice brushed look and feels great on the wrist!

14060, but the ExpII is a great option and one of the few white-dial sport models. Both can be had for under $4,000, depending on the age, but I don't see very many pre-owned polars out there. About 3 years ago, I bought 2, 1990's Exp II's for sons and a 1995-ish 14060 for myself. The 14060 was under $3,000 and the Exp's were $3,200 to $3,400.

IMO, the PAM is much more of a fashion thing than a watch brand like Rolex. I'm much more comfortable "investing" in Rolex than Panerai.

you already have a watch with black dial. you will love the polar eII. only thing is that polar Eii prices have been rising. you should be able to get a decent one right around 4k or just under depending on age/condition/etc. 3186 polar eii's have been selling around $5k these days since they are last of non-maxi case but with parachrom blu.

I went in to my local AD yesterday and tried on the 14060, 111, and exp ii...and all I can say is it definitely didn't make the decision any easier! Part of me loves the PAM and the fact that it looks so great with such a variety of straps but the 14060 and EXp are great. The non-supercase sub is such a different feel that my GMT and wears much smaller of course...needless to say I may be leanig towards the 14060 but I still have a while before the decision is made!

The Expo definitely wears bigger and I like the familiar feeling of the supercase and of course the white dial was a beaut! Both of them would take some getting used to after wearing the TT GMT (that gold is heavier than I thought!)

Seems like an ever recurring question.
I would pick the Sub above any other Rolex, and certainly the PAM. The Explorer II and the PAM are nice watches, but they don't come close when it comes to that good feeling of a Sub on the wrist.

Btw, I sold my Expl II to fund the Sub. No regrets. still want the Explorer, but there's no way it will push the Sub out.

I dont think you can go wrong with either to be honest.

When you buy one your going to get the other after a while anyway

I would opt for the 14060M - it is a superb watch and one of only two watches in my collection that I would never consider parting with (the other is the Sub-C)

For the Exp II, its an awesome watch but do you mind if it has similar feature to your GMT IIc? And it wears even smaller than the Sub ND, you are ok with the size?

For the Sub ND, your GMT IIc has nice bracelet, would you mind the rattle of the folded links and clasps? Whats good about the Sub ND is that it has lug holes for easy strap change if you want to wear the watch on NATO. Something to think about if you want to add variaty of how you can wear it.

For the PAM 111, since you have an auto, would you mind winding the watch every other day? And if you are going to wear the watch frequently, do you mind the watch being bigger and taller?

Some people were "surprised" to find out that the 111 doesn't have a hacking movement. Just making sure you are aware of it.

You need to think about what you want before deciding which one to go with :)

The PAM 111 is a big hunk of polished stainless. If you are considering the PAM look at the PAM 176. Same watch in brushed titanium vice polished stainless. The polished stainless is like your center links it shows everything. The brushed titanium is very forgiving. Definitely a different look with the PAM, and there is something about winding your watch.

I love an Exp II polar. It is an under the radar watch that always fits, and doesn't scream look at me. The PAM 176 on a distressed strap is also a very cool look.

I would go for the PAM, second choice is the Vintage Sub, last choice would be the Polar. I prefer to have brand and model variations. I think the sub and the polar is kinda similar to the GMT you have now - but others may have a different opinion.

After a lot of deliberation Im about 99% sure I am going for a 14060 so now I just have to decide between COSC and non-COSC...almost as difficult of a decision but I am leaning towards the 14060m non-COSC

Actually George, the 177 is the Titanium version of the 111. The 176 is a Base model (NO seconds hand) and is the Titanium version of the 112.
