Ahh, so the watch (or the newer one for that matter), doesn't work as an emergency transmitter by itself, rather it needs that transceiver that comes with it?

That's a beautiful Navitimer, and definitely has a place in life... Problem is, that most of the plane-crash survivors up here, often escape with only what's on their body...LOTS of water up here too, so you can't always count on the installed ELT to be above surface! I rather like mine...
