How to replace acrylic lens on DJ 16013

The lens on my 16013 DJ has a chip out tof it. I know how to remove the bezel and was wondering if the lens is easily replaced once the bezel is off?

Yes this will be very easy for you to do if you can already remove the bezel. Just be sure to have a dust blower and be very careful of the hands. Put on finger cots or non powdered latex glove just incase you touch the dial.

Make sure you have the right press to put it back on,the bezel comes off easier than it goes back on. Rikki

I have never removed the bezel before, but i am assuming it is simple from the posts on here. Will the bezel push on by hand or do i need a press to keep it square as it goes on?
With the bezel off does the lens just lift off or is it fixed in some way?

You can buy a cheap crystal press on ebay that will work fine. DONT mess with it if you dont have the right tools,

hi, the glass will pop off with the bezel usually, if not get a small screwdriver under the base of the glass and its easy (lift), install your new glass then you replace the bezel (you need a bezel press to get the bezel back on though) hope this helps regards

Would you recommend removing the movement before removing the bezel and replacing the lens?

That is a huge chip.... polishing won't do much for it.

A new crystal is needed and as Rikki said you need a press to put the bezel back on (or find someone who has one).
