42 vs 45.5 PO

I am really going around with what option I like better between the 42mm case and the 45.5mm case Planet ocean. Are there any differences in the lines, look, etc other than the size difference?

The date window is a little farther inside the dial on the 45.5MM version. On the 42mm version, the date window is closer to the 3:00 lume marker.

Had the 42. Took it back and got the 45.

42 probably a better fit.

But, the 45 just stands out more and it makes the 42 look small and dainty when side by side.

The bezel is different.

I own the PO42 black/white and love it!

i have a 45.5 on alligator leather, my wrist barely fits it

really depends on the size of your wrist and if you like big watches. 45.5 stands out way more than the 42

I think the 42mm is too small, I know 45.5mm sounds big, but in reality it is not that huge.

Try them both on and make a decision..........don't just buy it because its bigger.........make sure you like the way it looks on you. A 42mm watch is hardly small.

weight.

if you like to carry a paper weight on your wrist, then 45.5mm is the one to go with

j/k - best bet is to try both and see which one sits better on your wrist.

i have a 42mm instead of a 45.5mm

The weight is an issue, some people like it. Personally I don't think my wrist could pull off a 45.5mm one. I have mine on a mesh which makes the watch a fair bit lighter.

Mine is on rubber you see, but the bracelet looks good also.

Kind regards

I've been debating this forever...

In the case the 45 looks twice the size of the 42 but when I put them both on they really don't look that much different on the bracelet.

The thing that has me leaning to the 42 is that I also want the rubber on deployment and there is a big gap between the case and the band on the 45 that kills the look for me.

Most don't realize that there is only 1mm difference from lug tip to lug tip between the 42 and the 45. And the black bezel versions wear smaller than the orange.

In addition to the circumference of the wrist, one must also consider whether the wrist is round or flat. My wrist is round and the 45 tends to slip around. The 42 is much more stable on my wrist.

For five years I was undecided between the two sizes and finally the 42mm Liquidmetal made the decision for me.

No wonder why it didn't look different at all on my wrist between the 2 sizes. If they would just make the rubber strap with the extra material at the spring bar to cover the gap I would go with the 45. I know the leather strap on the AT has it...would that fit on the 45 PO?
