Thanks! |

Oh no! Please not a "How do I remove the hologram?" thread again!
If you do a search on "hologram" + "remove" you must get like 10,000 hits. Try it out!

Thanks Spacedweller - I usually search first and ask questions later. I did however check the FAQ first! I'll try in order: See if I can convince it to remove itself; make some threats; sheep-dip; plasma-cutter/blue wrench; then body grinder.

It's just a sticker dub..
I've saved mine by sliding a razer blade under it a bit and slowly peeling it off...I stick it on the warranty paper work If I'm not saving it I have a special Rolex Removal tool that leaves a smooth finish: |

Hit it with a hair dryer until it gets nice and warm then slowly peel it off and stick it to your papers. Be careful not to touch the printed numbers while it's warm or they'll smudge. A little soap and water will take care of any residual gunk and you're all set

Thanks for the tip CJ/Tools - I couldn't get my fingernail underneath it and figured I was missing something obvious.
I can't wear the darn thing yet anyway as my AD ordered a link that may take 2 weeks! I believe the TT links are now made of 'unobtanium' and are shipped via steamer directly from Switzerland to the states! That said, I've got plenty of time to peruse the 10K-plus posts, and attend a few Holo-Removers Anonymous meetings in the mean time! |
