Will AD charge you for authentication if you did not buy the watch from them? I just don't know if AD is willing to do this for you.

I always heard you could do this and I have read stories here from people who have. I asked my AD if they would and I was surprised by the reply.

The charge would be $20.00 the salesperson said they would verify just by looking at it. I said what about opening it won't the watch tech do that to verify the movement? He said no the watch would not be opened they won't do that.

He said the tech will not open a watch just to open it it would need to be left there as a service order for the tech to open it and that would cost more than 20 bucks.
