An extra link is always included (This would never be a deal breaker). 15%... hmmm no. I would negotiate a bit more. In my opinion it is most important that you make sure you are negotiating with someone who can make decisions. Minions can be blamed for miscommunication when it comes down to cash time (I've had an issue where a manager claimed the person didn't have authority etc.)

Ditto. When I finally decide to get my DD, there's no way I'm not using a grey market guy.
As for the AD, hold out for at least 20% and the link.

IMO that's a terrible discount for an all gold watch.

Amen to that!

As for the discount, I know of 2 ADs that do 30% off yg day-dates if you are paying cash. 15% is almost insulting, regardless of how you are dressed.

20% plus the extra link is a fair deal for YG. For WG maybe a bit more.

If you can find used or grey market you can save some more. I bought mine from an AD because I wanted new and do not plan to flip mine ever. (I hope.) I wanted my DD to be virgin, no questions asked.

Hey, Nikos;

Are you including DavidSW, Oscar (Bodybump), Mosco, Justrolexes, etc. and yourself (a TRF Seller) in the rant?? Or have I misunderstood your post?

My experience with ADs..

I always get 25% on 18k pieces. I would look around or give one of the sellers here on TRF a try - DavidSW .

Dear GFEAR
No... if I'll find a $100 dollar bill - I will not sell for $60 !
But ...if I buy a watch "on the cheap" I will try not to make a "killing"
and let a fellow member here at TRF buy it at a reasonable price

Money-Making was not the reason I became a member here.

Do not take me wrong I like the "chase" and I will go to great lengths
to make a deal and if it is a.. 6239/Newman dial ? I'll make a deal
with "Diabolo" himself...you know Cartier you know who that is..

The article was not aimed at you - your sales ads to general posting
are one in twenty four approximately... which shows you are interested
in many subjects other than strictly sales.
What comes to mind is an MTR.SLB88.101-801...that I like...for 300.000 CHF.-..

With anything YG, grey market BNIB is the only way to go IMHO- try contacting DAVIDSW.

Rolex is EVERYWHERE and I know they know who the "greys" are
or the discounters, or the tax saving schemes etc.

The truth is that flipping, dealing, trading, selling etc.
is coming to a sad end...so if any of you want a discount
you have about a year to be able to GET ONE with new watches
...and then.....then AD's will be the remedy...UNFORTUNATELY

I for one...am becoming an AD...
So if you wanna have discounts you got to become a percentage
partner...hummm..I am thinking 30k for one percent...?...
You know what they say
"When you can not fight them"...etc...

Ohh by the way...I was offered a DD-II-41mm YG M serial for 24k ..(BNIB)
You becoming an AD will be wonderful! Someone that loves watches as much as you WELL deserves it!

What "extra link?" Rolex does not have an extra link when new.
