Speaking of scratched clasps...

Alright. Some of you are going to laugh at this post. But... it bothers me and I'm just wondering if a polishing cloth would remove this light scuff/scratch on my clasp. You can really only see it if you really look for it or in direct light... I know it's there and it would be perfect (for awhile) if it were gone.

Thanks!

I'm doing my best not to, just when I'm out sitting at the patio at the coffee shop, I see it... and it's just... there. I need to stop looking at the clasp end of the watch and focus on the dial and bracelet....

polishing cloth won't help. You have to use a pot-cleaning sponch with the brushing side (don't know the exact word).

Get a sunshine cloth and it should buff right out.

Buy a new watch instead, the clasp would be perfect. Buy a roll of duct tape too. :D

I take it this is your first decent watch?

Dude, clasps will get scuffed like that, fact of life. Wait till it needs a service and they will all get polished out.

Let it be, time will heal your pain.

Another Rolex purchase will ease the pain...until you get it serviced. I think a leather strap would look great on that watch too!

It's on the clasp so you'll hardly notice it, unless you suffer from ocd

Go over it a few times with a green Scotchbrite dishwashing scrub then rub with Cape Cod Polishing cloth.

Funny, I haven't been super careful, but my 4 month old Sub C hasn't suffered too many scrapes or scuffs, just a couple on the clasp, but just yesterday I was grabbing a steel folding table from a tall shelf and got a few pretty noticable scratches on the clasp. But what can you do? If you wear a watch it's going to get them, even if you're careful, so you might as well not worry about it, then when you get your first service it'll get polished out.

Don't let it drive you nuts. Whether you get this one fixed or not you are going to get more eventually. Decide whether you can live with them as they happen or whether you are always going to need to remove them everytime they occur.
