Explorer II modification
Have you seen such a modification? I took this picture from a german forum? Is the bezel moving?

How can the bezel possibly move in a "still" picture?

I dont think Im used to seeing the Explorer II with a Pepsi. I think its best to leave the Pepsi to the GMT II.
It would be nice to have the bidirectional rotating bezel on the Explorer II though. But I guess the Explorer line was never designed for pilots in mind in the first place. Nice picture though. Definitely one frankenwatch!

Maybe it would look better if the hour markers were done in black like the Yacht Master? I dont know...

I've never popped mine off, but "Why not ?" Lookiing at the two side by side, the only difference I see is the dial and the bezel.... Now, I can't say I like the look and someone should do that, but it looks like it could be easily carried out. Last edited by Tools; 7 August 2007 at 07:44 PM.. Looks like to me
But yeah, the bezel would turn both ways as usual.

It would have to be a GMT II, that had the dial replaced with an Explorer II dial. Would not work the other way around, as the Explorer II does not have the cut out for the Bezel spring.

Makes no sense to me. If you want a watch with dual time zone capability, and a moveable bezel, buy a GMT, not an Exp. II.

You now, all this stuff is true.... But the vast population does not know one Rolex model from another.. or couldn't tell a Rolex from a Timex at ten paces. A person could wear a watch like that and never have anybody say or notice a thing wrong and just keep on hearing "nice watch". |

Nice work, David, I was just going there. Is that the Pan-Am reference? If so that's in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. So NO, it CAN'T be had...

I think it looks really cool.
Just like the Pan-am white dialled GMT. John. |
