Club Med Sandpiper Bay, FL - Great Vacation Spot

I just spent a week with my wife and baby at the Med in Sandpiper Bay @ Port St. Lucie, FL.

I have nothing but great things to say about it and completely recommend it to anybody, especially with young dudes. They have a Mini Med, where you can drop the little guy/gal at 9AM and they will keep him/her busy until 5PM.

For about 2.5k (for me, my wife and our son) we got a great room (more like an apartment), great location, 3 swimming pools (somebody might have read my post about killing my iphone), lots of river sports including sailing, kayaking, jet skis, tons of tennis courts and a very pro tennis school, golf courses, even a trapeze and circus school ran by the coolest guy (Matthieu). Pretty decent food any time you want and an open bar all day are also included.

To top it off, the staff is fantastic and ridiculously friendly.

All in all, like I said, a great time and recommended w/out caveats.

BTW, I spotted the usual number of Subs and DJ's a Daytona, an AP Diver and (coolest) one of those orange Doxas.

I've been to a couple of Club Med resorts in Asia and they are great value
