Recipe misprint?
Hello,
This chili recipe states 57g of protein PER SERVING. I cannot believe this is correct is sounds like a huge amount. http://www.atkins.com/Recipes/ShowRe...hili-Bowl.aspx |

The recipe says it makes 4 servings and calls for 2 pounds of beef. So that's 8 ounces of protein per serving. A 4 ounce hamburger patty averages 28 grams of protein, so it sounds like 57 grams is about right. Wow... I don't eat that much protein in two days!

About 15-20% of your daily caloric intake should be protein. In an 1800 calorie diet, that's about 65 to 90 grams per day.
