My vote is for Burke primehouse, been trying to get there for 2 yrs. Saw them on one of those shows for one of the best steakhouses in the county.

Let me check my sched. I work in the afternoon at 230 and MIGHT have something in the AM, If the AM plans are on a different day then an AM gtg works for me.

Would love to come....hate to seem cheap but It feels like robbery parking in that lot I parked in last time close by. Something like $40 for 3 hrs. Im not familiar with all the parking options downtown, can anyone suggest better options? Maybe taking the train, then cab over?

Yea, actually it'd be easier to take the train and then call a cab from the station if you don't mind the train ride from suburb.

Or you can try this site to see a list of parking garage rate in the area

Here's my suggestion to anyone wanting to come to this event and having parking issues: Park at my Place. I'm in the South Loop and you and I can either work out parking in my car (I'm pretty good at finding street parking in Chi-town), or we can split cab fare, or whatever. PM me.

Anyone finalized an itinerary yet? Should we be PM'ing for email addresses for a contact list at this point?

no problem.

I've gotten pm from a few of you with email addresses. For those who hasn't pm me, I've sent a pm to ask for a preference for day or afternoon meet up.

If we all agree to have lunch or dinner together, I think we need to book a table ahead of time. Anyone bringing their significant others together?

For those who are worried about parking at downtown, you can either PM Timber Loftis (south loop) or myself(west loop) to park at our home and share a cab ride.

The street parking around my house is free.

Since nobody gave a preference on early or late afternoon, I'll assume we all keep the original plan, meet up at 3pm.

I'll be sending PM to those who mentioned they can join.

Someone suggest an earlier bar time, then visit boutiques, I'm open to that too. And we can skip the dinner as most people might have plans at night.

Guys, please reply this thread or the PM. And it would be easier if I can blast out email instead of PM individually.

Thanks.

Because I will have to leave shortly after 6pm, for dinner plans elsewhere, I suggested maybe a few of us gather a bit earlier, perhaps at a bar or lunch spot. I'd be up for meeting up any time from noon onward.

I'm still in. I don't know if anyone wants to meet up earlier -- if so hit me with a PM. Otherwise I'll see you all at 3 pm. Oh, I switched out dinner plans to another night, so I can hang out as long as we like.

Some gossip to precede the visit:
- Rumor is, unconfirmed, that the CD Peacock we are meeting at no longer carries Rolex.
- Neither does Torneau in Water Tower.
- And also the "Rolex Boutique" is actually Torneau.

Is it the *illusion* of boutique exclusivity?

Just some scuttlebutt I picked up yesterday.

-the first rumor is right, the downtown CD Peacock has no rolex, they switch mostly to Panerai.

-the rolex boutique is actually operate by Torneau

Guys, please send me a PM for a final head count. And it would be really helpful if I can email or call those who will be joining. Sending PM one by one is really a pain in the butt.
