Go back to the service center immediately! Its unacceptable to get back a serviced watch in a worst state than was sent.

The more time that lapse between the time you collect and go back to complain means they have a greater leg to push the blame to you. Just sayin.

As you say, time is of the essence.......

I do not have time to go into Oxford to deal with this problem.

Oxford is a bit of a joke when it come to actually getting there. It would take up half a day of my valuable self employed time, which would cost me as much as the service price in time!

The reason for buying Rolex is to avoid poor service in the first place......carefree??

Bang on Shieldsy!!

I run my own business and I have had negative stuff said about what I do on forums........I say, so what!

It can only improve my service to customers! I am a small one man company also, not a multi million pound worldwide renowned company like Rolex, so comments online could finish me, but they do not because I strive to get thing right, from the start!

The problem is that most of the members here have excellent results with the RSCs. New York gets some flak, but then there are also those who have good experiences.

In this venue, until you've taken some measures to alleviate the situation, you're not going to get much empathy and if I'm not mistaken, you have not posted one picture to corroborate your claim.

Who said anything about empathy!!

If I was looking for that I would get it from a friend or loved one! ;-)

I think you need to take a chill pill my friend...

I don't think you've taken the time to read all of the thread, as if you had, you'd realise that I took up my concerns straight away......

I think these pics show up the scratches very well!

I could see them before i took it out of the box, but I couldn't believe they were scratches and thought they were just marks that could be wiped off.

You have to understand that before I handed it back, I had worn it for 6 years without a single light scratch at all......15 weeks or so at RSC and it came back like that.

I post this in the hope that a Rolex service technitian will read this and not do it again!

I am expecting a call from the jeweller tomorrow... I have no doubt that they will take it back to correct their faults.....I am more worried about my time and hassle that I'll have to waist if they expect me to take it back in person. I'd expect them to collect it from myself and return it....

The scratches are awful! The jeweller acted as the middleman for you and RSC? The jeweller should at least give the watch a look over before giving it back to you in the first place to save you the grief, time and trouble.

Perhaps you've confused empathy with sympathy.

The pictures are a great help.

Why would I try to get either from a forum.?

Maybe if I was a recluse with no friends or family, then the www would be the place to get empathy, but I'm not.....and my friends and family wear Rolex also....

The thing that bothers me is the fact that a family member has also had the same problem with his GMT from the same service centre. A chip though, not scratches...

You'd have thought that they wold make sure that his brothers YM would be perfect!

I used to work on Rolls Royce jet engines.....finishing them to a VERY VERY high standard and I know that its really not difficult to do.

I'm glad you find the pics useful

Spoke to the jeweller today, who assured me, he is on the case!!

Fingers crossed - I will be a happy customer, in which case this thread could be very positive for them!

That's the beauty of forums.....They can create [roblems for retailers, but it also gives the retailer a chance to explain and get some great feed back as well. It sort of puts the ball in thier court :-)

Out of curiousity, do you know which RSC your AD is sending them to?

Does "he's on the case" mean that they now have the watch?
