I just had surgery to correct the Plica Sydrome I had in my knee last week. Has any TRF-er had this surgery as well? Its been a week and my knee is still incredibly swollen and painful. I cant believe how difficult the recovery has been. I would like to hear from other people who may have had this surgery before.

I had a 40% left medial menisectomy done; it took about 4 weeks before I felt comfortable and safe to do the usual tasks. Hang in there, the most important thing is to FORCE yourself to do the rehab excercises no matter how rough they are.

Give it time Brian. One week is nothing. Rehab is critical but only when you are cleared to start by your doc , not a minute before. I am on my fourth month after a major shoulder surgery. Doing great now but these things require a great deal of time and committment.

I found out this morning in physical therapy that i also had a "Lateral Release" performed on my knee during surgery. Physical therapy has been difficult and the swelling has been a constant battle. No pain no gain!
