How about, time2time gives me the serial number of the said watch, I will speak to Rolex and confirm, what actual watch was sold and who Rolex shipped the watch to.
That's a fair comPromise to seek the correct info. Personally I don't believe it was the new model. The aurum group had a viewing of the 2011 Basel watches months ago and they were working models, but prototypes. When I got my 1977 explorer 2. (1655) I obtained details of when the watch was originally supplied in the 70's alOng with it's service history. Rolex have also done this exercise for a 1680 red from 1965. |

Talk is cheap if you can't back it up. Now there is a "challenge" suggested by Mark and his contact (or in your case, contact-less) will be able to tell you if your pal was BS'ing or not. |

It may bought from a UK store but that doesn't mean it was UK sourced. Who actually cares anyways. All this nonsense of proof is just ridiculous, we are not in a court of law! He knows he's right so why would he go out of his way to validate himself to strangers. If you don't want to believe what has someone has said then fine, just move on. Mike |

That's the difference. So the ball is in his court. It is obviously a well respected forum and we respect most members who can talk the talk and walk the walk... |

I dont think it is true either just someone is mistaken , FWW I had my AD MD phone Rolex UK and ask why they haven't had any 42mm the reply was no UK dealer has ,The Guy at Rolex was quite specific and when challenged said NO ONE has had stock allocated .
I have dealt with Mr Pugh for 18yrs and if he said it didn't happen I have to agree with him why would he go to the trouble off calling Rolex Uk and then me back NOW mr time2time why don't you just produce your mates warranty card with the 160 country code that clearly shows the 216570 model number and hide the serial number if you cant it never happend . Imagine the pleasure you would get proving ever one wrong and make us all eat humble pie. This post is annoying as I want my white dial and made the call and asked why certain dealers were getting stock and I have been waiting since Basel , I told them what I had read on here and then felt like a proper twat when it seams Rolex deny it has so lets have the proof. |

To be honest i'm fed up with this thread now. He also has a good relationship with his AD and he got his in August. Plain as,full stop. Your man? Can't comment on him. Dunno what to say. My friend thinks i'm a nerd enuf to belong to a chat forum and asking him for his warantee card would be embarrassing to say the least. And even if I did post a pic of it some people on here would accuse me of Photo-shopping it or getting a blank and making it up! He spends ALOT with this particular AD, he is SERIOUSLY loaded and I know that the shop in question, (which did mention it to another member on here who was looking in there), bent over backwards for him. Now I do know it's a 160 uk supplied, my mate did tell me that. Proof? Don't feel I can and don't feel I need to. It all started as a comment that my mate has one and ever since been bombarded with hecklers and disbelievers. If he was a fellow forum fan then a pic of the watch, sales reciept AND warantee card would have been posted long ago. Apppreciate AD's and Rolex UK tell people diffferent things but, what can I say?? Anway hope you get your watch soon. Take care. |
