Sizing Question
So, I have had my SubC for a little over a week now…and love it! After getting to know it a little better, I have a question about sizing. It was sized for me at the AD after purchase. I should learn how to (and get the right tools) do this myself so I can make it dead on accurate. Anyway, 2 links were removed. As you can see from the picture, that left 6 on one side and 4 on the other.
Does that seem right? Wouldn’t that make the watch a little “one sided?” I have noticed that the case doesn’t sit in the middle of my arm (nor does the clasp on the underside). Can links be removed from both sides? If so, why would he remove 2 links from one side? Thanks in advance for the help! |

You need to take the clasp into consideration since it is part of the bracelet.
Take a look with the clasp closed (since that is how you wear the watch) and see how that looks. A photo of that would be helpful, too.

Maybe you have to move one link form the side of the bracelets with 6 links to the other part of the bracelet (the one with 4 links).

Actually, I prefer a shorter 6:00 side to keep the clasp centered for my particular wrist. I have removed permanent links on my SD and GMTll to accomplish such. Your SubC new style bracelet allows for an extra removable link on the 6 side.

with the sub you have you should be able to adjust the size easily by sliding the band in and out of clasp with out any tools

Lets see a pic of the watch on your wrist and where exactly the clasp sits and then I think we will be able to better answer your question.

I have fewer links on the 6 o'clock side too. 4 vs. 6. That combo, for me, keeps the clasp and watch head centered. Your wrist may vary.
I had mine adjusted at my local AD, who although I did not buy the watch there, was happy to help with trying several configs until we settled on that. You'll fine one right for you with a little experimentation.

When the clasp was closed, and I held the watch up by the case, the clasp was significantly off center. I should have taken a picture of that too!

Scociny,
There is a Rolex sizing kit which actually gives the AD a guide as to how to remove links and in what order. I had a Daytona and it had 6 links on the 12 side and 4 on the 6 side. As off as that sounds it kept the clasp centered on the underside of my wrist. Watches tend to roll a little to the outside so that can be dragging the clasp a little out of alignment as well. With the longer sub clasp this should be less of a problem. But yes lets see a few wrist shots so we can assist you further! |

I recently moved one link from one side to the other and it made a HUGE difference. It is completely centered now and 100% more comfortable....

I suppose for some wrists the case and clasp just cant be perfect? He did say I had a really small wrist (about 6 inches). Why would that matter? By the way...you guys can hold the small wrist jokes! |

Unless you`re walking around with your left hand palm up I`d be satisfied if my watch fits ok.

Looking at the pix you need to swap at least one link (two would be better) from the 6 side to the 12 side. This will help stop the head from rolling up as it is doing.
In these pix the bracelet looks tight but is is just the angle and the easylink was 'in'.

It seems that you need to have the 6:00 side shorter than the 12:00. The 2 links should come off of the 6:00 side. You might even try to take a third link off of the 6:00 side and add it to the 12:00 side.

Always go with less links on the 6 side vs. the 12. Like yourself, I have smaller wrists and currently have 4 links on the 6 side of the bracelet, 5 on the 12. The clasp sits perfectly centered on the underside of my wrist.
My watch is a GMT, so the clasp is a little different from yours, but it still seems with such a small wrist you could go down to 10 total links.

I have 4 on the 6 o'clock side and 5 on the 12 on my Sub-C as well. I also made sure during sizing that the clasp was right in the middle, giving me the option of adjusting on either direction as needed. I think my wrists are in the 7.5 inch range and everything sits perfect and centered.

From the wrist shot, you should've left it the way it was at the beginning!!
I'd be a lot more concerned with how the watch face looks on my wrist than how the clasp looks on the back of my forearm. |

a significant amount of comfort during wear, however, is how centered the clasp is...its not just an aesthetic thing

I have a small wrist too. On "modern" oyster bands, I have 4 links on the 6 oclock and 6 on the 12 oclock. On older bands, I had to remove one of the permanent link to have 4 and 6 combo since the minimum links on the older bands were 5....which makes the case (or the clasp) off centered.

It's pretty easy to remove a link, I did it my self on my Date-just, if it bothers you and want to try to do it we can do it, I have the tools, and I don't speak like a know it all Russian.
