Congrats ! Good selection. Now you need also a JB bracelet, and all the inserts.

You can change the inserts easily, ( see all tutorials, beware the small wire spring !!), as well as the bracelet, with a tooth pick, as you have lug holes.

Then, you will have many combinations, and "many" watches for all seasons, circumstances, etc !

My 16700, X - series bought in 1994 new.

Congratulations on your purchase. I have several GMT's and the 16700 is one of the most functional GMT's with the quick-set date feature. Enjoy!

Collectible or otherwise, they're just a fantastic watch to enjoy having on your wrist. More so if a 2nd time zone is something that you need to know at any time

I had a 16710 and loved it. You've got yourself 6 watches in 1 there if you get the pieces. Get a Pepsi and Coke bezel -- these are easy to switch out, especially if you spend less than $20 on the proper tool. That gives you 3 permutations. Then you add the Jubilee bracelet. Now, it's up to 6 permutations. My only gripe was that for us laymen, the bracelets are a pain to switch out. But I did switch out the bezels every season.

I do note that I don't believe your watch will have any special collector's value. Many were made over its lifespan, and the GMT complication was updated to allow for independent hour hand movement, which many collectors see as an important improvement.

the webmaster added LN bezel on 16700 page.

Bezel colors:
BLRO, Blue/Red aka Pepsi (bleu/rouge), (Bezel 315-16700-6)
LN, Black, (Bezel 315-16700-1)

thanks capote.
