Polished Center Links on Subs?

I know its possible to have the center links polished on the ss sub bracelet but I was just wondering what exactly is involved in doing so and who/where would I need to take it to be done? I dont have a sub yet, but am considering picking up an LV but I kind of like the polished links that I have seen on the oyster which the LV does not have. What are the pros/cons of having this done, besides the obvious apperance change? Also if anyone has any pictures of polished center links on a ss sub I would love to see them. Still not sure IM completely sold on the idea yet but Id like to have the option of possibly doing it later down the line should I decide to. Thanks.

the new models are like that, if you get a new model probably you will get it with polished center links

I've seen polished center links on ss subs and I think it's a nice look, and it's 'reversible' so if you decide you don't like it, you can probably take it back to the same person who did the high polish to polish it to a matte finish. Another thing to consider if you're going to polish the center links is having the lugs high-polished as well.

A good jeweler can do it very easily.

Remove bracelet, and take it apart.

High polish the entire bracelet to remove hairlines.

Tape off the outer high polish links, and end links

He will then use a high speed buffer with an abraisive disk to score the center in a straight line pattern. Next the same with the end links

Clean in ultrasonic, steam clean, dry, and re assemble. Should cost $30 for his time.

The unpolished one is nicer I think and easier to wear but the polish one is also nice as well.

Yes, i'd like to see pics. The new subs with ceramic have center polished links? Mine does not. But sounds like it would look goo with them. Can anyone post pics if available?

Brush finish is the way to go on utility watches IMHO.

I know i have polished gold centre links on my TT Blue SubC but i still think it looks better brushed on a SS model,i wouldn't do it,they seem to be a magnet for scratches.
