A Day To Remember

Hello, I Just feel I have to share this with all you Omega lovers/collectors.
Yesterday I visited the Omega Boutique in Regent Street London. I had the time of my life. The assitant who dealt with me named Ali was so helpful, knowlegible and never pushy. He showed what I the watch I wanted to see over coffee (Aqua Terra Red Gold GMT on an Allogator strap) then When I said I would like to see around the 2 floors of Omega watches they have there, he gave me the personnel tour. I saw some really awesome watches, the likes will never be in seen in my AD in Bristol. I saw all the Museum pieces, limited addition pieces and tried on the Platinum Speedmaster with one Gold sub-dial. £65,000 worth of lottery winning money on my wrist. What an absolutely beautiful watch this is. They even have watches there that My AD cannot get yet (new Speedmaster 2 sub-dail chrono,) which I have on order in Bristol but still has not arrived, I tried it on of course and was love with it immediately it, It is a beautiful piece, cannot wait for mine to come, now more than ever. I saw the techinician working way at her work station (that was amazing to see too). I was given Rolls Royce treatment by the staff and wondered why I deal with my AD.... just to to get 15% discount. I truely believe buying from Omega Boutiques is a wonderful experience and worth the extra. I came away with books and tickets for a grande opening of a new UK boutique soon and a wonderful day and experience that I NEVER get form purchasing from my AD. I know where I shall be getting my Blue dialled Liquidmetal/Titanium Planet Ocean from next year. Thanks for reading and sorry if I bored you,

I love Omega Boutiques but for some reason I always tend to go where it is cheaper as long as it is from an AD... >_<

Thank you for sharing Alan. The two Omega's AD's I've been to (one in Switzerland and one in Montreal) were very good as well. It's nice to have great service every once in a while!

I love visiting the Omega Boutique here in Vancouver. I usually try to wear an Omega and they often ask what I have on. Just a friendly place. On a recent trip to London I visited the location on Old Bond Street. I was sorely disappointed. When I walked in one of the staff asked if she could help me and I said I was going to look around. I'm not sure but I think she rolled her eyes a bit. There was a look of "whatever" in her face. Was it my accent (that she probably assumed was American)? Was it the Tag Heuer on my wrist? Then the staff all stood in the corner talking. Maybe just a bad day? Or maybe my perception was wrong and I gave off a "leave me alone" vibe? The selection seemed limited. After 3 or 4 minutes I just walked out the door. The Omega vintage store in the arcade nearby was much friendlier. I will try to visit the Regent Street location next time I'm in London.

Sounds lovely. I passed by the Omega boutique in Vancouver earlier this summer but they had already closed for the day, and I was unable to make it back that way during the trip. But I did make it into the one in on Champs-Elysees in Paris last month. They showed me the gold Speedy (my current grail). What a great watch and hard to find in these here parts.
