I dont care date at watch cause it s always working wrong cause 31 days in a watch's calendar but in real there is some months take 30 some 31 and one 28 in a year and every month JJ's Rolex will loose 1 day from the calendar, in the middle of the road he ll get wrong date if he doenst forget to adjust calendar every month. I never care and my watch's calendar shows wrong date too. Non date is better cause there is no big lens for seeing the date.

Not a huge fan of the Milguass, and IMO there is only one Milgauss and thats a vintage one. This modern upstart is only a pretender much like the modern day Prince.

I think it's a great looking watch, a tribute to the history of Rolex, and very well designed. The color scheme and second hand will give it cult status in Japan, or at least that's what I hear and think. As for the absence of a Date function, although I have a Day-Date, I also have three Daytonas, so obviously I am comfortable with a watch that doesn't show me the date. The day I can't remember the date if I need to will be the day I probably won't remember what the markings on the watch face mean anyway.

The Milgauss is on my list of possible future watches, but I am still longing for the YG/cream dial Patek Philippe 5146. It's probably only in the realm of my dreams, however, due to price; so I continue to look at the new Rolex GMT II, the Omega Deville models, old Rolex Subs, and other more affordable models.

If you can get the green tint dial version, which I understand is the limited production version, it would be quite a coup; though all the versions I've seen in photos look great.

Those folding aluminium calendars will quite possibly scratch the oyster bracelet.

It has been a while since this post started, has anyone in North America yet to see a Milgauss?

Well I agree, the Japanese will love this model, but they do like most Rolex
As for the green tint crystal model, I'm a little sceptical with some of the 'limited' production numbers I'm hearing. Kind of reminds me about the Green Sub rumours, but then you wouldn't want to miss out would you

Too many bits and pieces, l think I'd rather just look at my mobile phone to get the day & date.

Steve, I agree. I've heard some crazy "limited" numbers, but as I recall from inital reports coming out of Bazel the "green Glass" will/is? a regular production item. Albiet on the order of the Daytona.

Well that's right Mike, I don't know who does it with these "limited edition" rumours, but the only way to really get the word is to contact Rolex and see what they say.
All too often it seems that AD's spread the 'limited edition' gospel and that gets blown out of proportion, and it ends up pumping up the price, artificially increasing demand and being a real pain in the posterior for guys like me that really deserve to get 1 piece at below RRP

The only thing that limited is the amount Rolex can pump out!

John.
