Talking to Panerai NYC told me to use a 1.2mm screwdriver instead!

I was talking to the NYC boutique today, and they recommended me to use a 1.2mm instead of a 1.4mm screwdriver for my 337.

So for all i've heard of the fourms is a 1.4mm same on paneristi.. I wonder if there screwdriver at the store is a 1.2mm.. this is the first i've heard of this.. anyone else?

yeah...."good thing".......you might have had to go out and get a luminor, too.....then again, one PAM is never enough.

btw, would love some wrist shots of the 337, if you have a chance.

Also, the blade configuration is different.
Ignore my lack of proper terms, but the 1.4 has a distinct almost square slot , where as the 1.2 is a wedge shape.

Whats weird is the LA boutique recommended me the 1.4mm and even told me what brand they use and where to buy it... you would think it would be the same across all boutiques

As the new owner of a Radiomir 287 and about to receive my first strap, I tried a 1.2mm driver (wedge style tip) and it didn't fit. Hmm.

More detailed guidance would certainly be appreciated, especially that of prefered brands and availability.

Thanks.

Cheers

I just use the 1.5 on my 336 the other day.... you just need to have a steady hand!

You and me both.
Perhaps on the newer models, like the 337,338 and even the 287 they are different?
Surely not.
skyedog mentioned he used a 1.5mm, now that's different again.

I have a 380 and bought a screwdriver from vintagerstraps.com. it works great and is high quality. it says 140 on it so I assume it's 1.4mm.
