Any Oris fans, got a new watch?

I went to buy some Platinum at a coin store, and passed by a watch place, and HAD to go in. Ended up buying my wife a nice Michele watch, that she cannot stop staring at, and this Oris for myself. It was a spur of the moment purchase, which I do not regret at all. I have found myself liking brown clothes lately, and thought this watch would fit right in, as I only have one old Rado that goes well with brown clothing.

I have to admit, I do not know much about Oris or how watch people view the company, but so far so good, I really like the watch. I looked at a couple of Breitlings, but just could not pull the trigger on a $4K watch (funny because I buy snakes for double that and do not even blink). Anyhow, not the greatest lighting, yes I have a purple pool table, let me know what you think. The watch is a Dizzie Gillespie Numbered, Special Edition. I picked it up brand new for $750, on sale. I heard it was made in 2008!

They are very underrated IMHO! I have 2 Oris pieces and they are fantastic! It's my understanding they are much more popular in Europe and Asia....but a little under the radar here

I prefer Gold and Silver, this is my first Platinum. The price is up and down around $1600 an oz. I got a graded (70) Quarter Oz American Eagle and a One Oz 1994 Aussie Koala. I like the US Indian Head Gold coins myself, but love the Aussie stuff too.

Here is my Pool table, it is very dusty, and you can see my wife likes Dr. Seuss art.

Dave

Back of my new watch, will have to take some better pics and clean the watch up a bit, a few smudges that you cannot really see until you snap a pic.

One more pic, not sure if it is better or worse?

I like the dial color and love the pattern on the dial. The band is decent, black with brown stitching, and very comfortable.

Have a BC4 Small Second and absolutely love it. It steals a lot of wrist time from other watches in the collection. Very impressed with their product.

I have an Oris big crown, bought in Italy in 2000. It has been a great watch, worn several days a week.
