Who owns watches that never been worn?

I know you guys are big collectors.
For some reasons you might have the watch that never been worn.

For me, I never worn the watches with tritium because those hands might be cracked easily.

Please share your what is that one and why?

Thanks.

Why buy at all if one isn't going to wear it?

I know someone who buy it just want it to be in the collection and 50% of the collection never been worn.

Some buy it for investment purpose.

Are you referring to "Winder/Safe Queens", "Speculators", or "Collectors who put a watch on a Pedestal"?

Honestly, I would never own a watch that I would not wear. I suppose, if I had more money than god, I would consider owning a few pieces and treat them like art and simply display them.

+1 .. for me buying watches to wear it, feel the pride of it, not just to stare at it.

I buy them to wear them but there's always one or two that gets very little wrist time during the year.

I've worn and will continue to wear all of mine. Some see less time than others, but I bought them to wear and to enjoy them.

I typically cycle through all of mine (6, currently) but there are two that I don't wear too often. I really should release these back into the wild.

I personally believe that a watch should be worn! I could see an issue with frequency based on the style/$ aspect but I don't think I could ever just display one!

Pretty much like me, I don't have such a big collection so I rotate them often but some of them have less wrist time than others! This being said, I'd never buy a watch just to admire it, you need to do both in order to fully appreciate it!

I can not understand why people would bother to buy a watch and not wearing it..

It's like marry a beautiful woman and.... Meh, never mind.....

Just got a brand new Oyster Perpetual Datejust 18k WG delivered today after waiting for a while....unworn yet. :-)
But I'm thinking about selling it. It might be too nice for me to wear.
OK, call me crazy...

There are a few guys here that have anywhere from 30-100 Rolex watches and that is not counting their other ones. It's easy to not wear them all.
