DNS issues

It seems something fishy is going on with host lookup. I can access TRF through the IP address, but not using the domain name www.rolexforums.com. I changed my DNS server to Google's 8.8.8.8 with the same result.

I connected my computer to my 3G modem, which uses a different service provider, and could access TRF using that provider's server. When I switched to Google's I had the same error using that provider as well.

Anyone else seen this? (A simple test would be to set your DNS server to 8.8.8.8 and try to load TRF.)

I can only access the site from my 3G as well. None of my iPads or PC's will connect either.

I'm having a problem as well. If I google www.rolexforums.com I can't get in. If I go in through the back door using http:50.30.71/~trfcom/ then I can get in but there is no banners. The last couple of days I have been also having problems where I can't seem to log out. If I logged out & then clicked on my bookmark for TRF it would bring me back to the sight already logged in.

www.rolexforums.com is working for me....

In any case, the forum is undergoing some software tweaks for the betterment of the membership.
We understand some inconvenience will occur, but it will be corrected ASAP.

DNS issues appear to be sorted now, thanks to whoever took care of it.

i am still having the same problem. I'm using my MacBook Pro with safari. I can only access the site through HideMyAss or on my iPhone. I can't just go straight to the site using safari.. :-(

Start a shell/Terminal and type

dscacheutil -flushcache (for OSX 10.5 or above)

or

lookupd -flushcache (for OSX Tiger)

and try safari again. The above commands clear the DNS info that was cached in your computer. If you use a proxy to access TRF then this DNS cache flushing needs to be performed at your proxy server instead.

I couldn't access the site, either. When I punched up the address, I was re-directed to a page of advertising sites for fakes and sites such as Melrose. I thought I had a virus, but a scan showed none. All is working correctly now.

okay... i flushed the DNS cache.. didn't work. Tried manually to delete rolexforums from the HOSTS file.. couldn't find it there..
Now i added googles DNS 8.8.4.4 to my network properties, and BAM it works.
When i logged in, it displayed this

Invalid Redirect URL (http://rolexforums.com/login.php?do=login)

ok here's what's happening with me. I log off from TRF. Then I go to my favorites on Yahoo where I have TRF saved & I click on TRF, it brings me to the forum already logged on. I never have to log on to TRF. I've never had this. Why is this happening. It's not happening on the other forums that I belong to just TRF. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks....
