why called PAM?

,
Hi all. Just started lurking on the Pam site. I find these watches starting to grow on me. Why is it called Pam? Instead of Pan. There, I asked a dumb question.

I'd go to a store and try on every different case you can (sub, rad, lum, 1950 sub, 1950 lum). See what you think.

Popular "entry" models are
000,005,111,112,182,210 - manuals
104,164,088,090,024,025 - autos
312,351,359 - auto inhouse
