SD 16600 Price Question
Local Pawn Shop that I frequent called me and said they just took in a W series Sea Dweller with box, papers, polishing cloth, anchor, etc and service from November 2011 from a local watchmaker here in town. Not an AD service or RSC service.
Give me some idea what this watch is worth, they offered it to me for $4,500 |

The price sounds good, although I don't like the bit about the non-Rolex watchmaker conducting the service. I might try to knock the price down a couple of more hundred and opt to pay for service on my own by someone who has access to Rolex Parts.

sounds like a fair price depending on condition...
if the service was done from a local watchmaker it is likely to be at least partially incomplete: its unlikely that the local watchmaker had the necessary device to properly test the SD depth rating. i would look for a receipt for the service or consider it not serviced?

If anyone is interested PM me and I'll give you their information. Since I have a Sub, GMT II, Omega SMP and Breitling Evolution I really don't need another diver.
Next on my list is a TT Datejust on a jubilee with a gold tapestry dial and a fluted bezel |

$4500 is a great deal if everything checks out properly. If you don't get it, I will. Where in town is this place again?!
