Quick visit to AD

First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone! Best wishes for 2012!!!

I made a quick stop to my AD, just to talk and wish them Happy Holidays; and pics had to be taken

Selection was pretty good, but they told me something unexpected (also unexpected to them too): biggest sellers are (sit down my friends) the RG-ceramic Daytona AND.....2T YMII!!! All 2T YMIIs he had ordered had been sold and they already have a waiting list (with money down!) for this baby. We both agreed that this is an ugly watch, but 'it sells'.

I did try the Sub-C black and the hulk; both are great watches, but having a 2T sub-c black makes the hulk -once again- an interesting option

also tried the new Bvlgari-Roth watch, a huge timepiece at a hefty price (list $14k)

And also tried the Cartier Tank Solo with Art Deco dial (sorry for bad pics)....what do you think?

Well, thank you for reading; time to catch another flight (yes, flight #2 of this year already!)

Great PICs, thanks for sharing.

Kind of suprised the new TT YM is selling so well. I saw one a little while ago and it just wasn't my cup of tea.

Thanks for sharing some interesting info and nice pictures. I have a TT midsize YM (blue dial - M series)

When on my wrist it gives me plenty of satisfaction. Actually it draws more attention than my SS Daytona white face. But then each to his own!

The art deco dial is too wierd and as far as the people buying the YM II is concerned,I don`t care as long as they leave me a Sub when I want one.

Were you in some special area or does that AD leave watches in plastic coverings in the display case? Perhaps their inventory moves that quickly. I find it unusual, though, and certainly different from the AD's in my area.

Those non-Rolexes don't do anything, but to each their own.

The fast selling Daytona on strap and TTYMII surprise me, as well.

That Bulgari is pretty bad. A smash up of a clerc, audemars RO, and the new PP chrono.

It's annoying IMO but I see it a lot when I travel.
I was in La Jolla and one watch shop had to remove a lot of plastic while I was there! LOL
