Can someone please tell me that the 14060M is a POS watch

please. Tell me that a guy who already has a SD doesnt need a sub. Tell me that the clean the look of it and its classic no BS look is nothing special.

Tell me that being a Bond fan doesnt make it an even better piece in the collection. Tell me the Sub date is better so I can stop thinking about it since my GMT2 (once I put on the black bezel) will fill the void.

Come on ppl its a POS watch, everybody knows this so please convince me that I shouldnt be falling in love with it.

All I can tell you Roger is that if you trade me that 'dweller for my Panerai you'll look forever cool, like in that pic you put up, and you'll get to snog all the Hilton sisters

This POS?

Who'd want this.... other than me? Its too heavy, too thick, lacks what makes a Rolex a Rolex, the cyclops. The bezel is sooooooooooo cliche, it doesnt make a good everyday watch.

But its also my fav watch, so no deal

That's my plan, if my dealer has one. Gotta sell the Panny first though.

This is what has got me falling in love with the Sub http://www.uhrwald.de/wp14060.htm Percy from a German forum has rather nice pieces in his collection. Although his is with the old movt its still visually the same.

And yes I use google to translate the german forums all the time.

Trading away my 14060M was one of the dumbest moves I've made in my watch collecting days. It's one I really regret. On the other hand, the IWC 3706 I got for it ended up being worth probably a grand less than the Rolex 16610 I eventually traded it for But, then I F'd up and let that one go

After I sell the ones I have up, and acquire another Rollie, I am so out of this watch flipping game. It's fun, but I've lost way too much money in the process!

The 14060M is a POS. It's too fancy, with that smarmy sapphire crystal, and what's with the glossy dial? And those markers, sticking up like that begging to be looked at, for shame. You should get one of these instead, MUCH classier...

Of course, now that I have MINE, I don't care if the rest of you go rushing out to buy one and push the prices up too high, have fun! LOLOLOL

BTW, the 14060M is *the* modern sub to own, IMO. Sorry.

The 14060M does NOT come with a COSC certificate, Steve.

Dennis got offered a all original 5512 from 196281xxxx III 62 with 1530
movement and looked almost as good as your 5513.Just a tiny little bit of
spotting on dial, tha tyou could only see with loupe. But alas my old bank balance is looking a bit low,and Christmas is just around the corner. The
price under £2000,which I thought was quite a good price,my friend sold it the next day.

That's interesting...didn't know that...was going by the latest 2005.8 catalogue.

Really doesn't matter....Nina's new watch is the absolute base, entry level one and is spot-on in accuracy!!

I think it's a very good looking watch JJ! You know, I hate the term "entry level Rolex". Rolex is Rolex IMO, and they're all good

Well...I guess that's true...but for the "cheapest" Rolex out there, sure works like a dream. Of course, the low price is due to lack of all the 'fringe' benefits like Date, COSC, fluted bezel, etc.

OK, Roger. It's a POS.

Now, if you believe me, I have a very nice bridge that you might be interested in acquiring. It comes with toll booths in both directions and will provide you with a nice steady income. If you're interested, let me know and I'll PM the details.
