new addition to collection limited edition monaco

I always had a soft spot for the original Heuer Monaco's. Couldn't resist when I found this 2010/11 limited edition grey dial model in a local pre-owned store, unworn and 60% of original list price.

very pleased wth this one and a nice addition to my collection.

That's a beautiful watch. Where did you pick it up and how many pieces were made?

That's a stunner.
I used to own the first re issue SM Monaco, blue dial w/ white subs. It was always a blast to wear.
Congrats and enjoy!

retail is £5250 and I paid £3185. warranty card stamped from an AD in london on 1.11.11 so almost full warranty and still had the plastic on the deployment clasp. sold a navitimer to a friend for what I paid for it so it was almost fiscally prudent purchase....and I can tell the time with this one which was becoming an issue with the the navitimer. trouble is I am running out of watches that I am willing to flip so what next ? add more watches to the rotation or stop buying...guess I know the answer to that one

I remember seeing another one on TRF and I wasn't such a fan of it but I have to admit this dial and those hands really change the look of the watch! Congratulations!

Very cool! Congrats on the find!

I love the Monaco and want a blue dial version...I struggle with the MSRP on it, however. I've only ever been able to negotiate 15% off and couldn't pull the trigger - especially when you can get into some other watch brands for that money.

I hope to find the deal as you did someday! Great job!

the deals are out there. a friend just bought a superb pre owned blue monaco, 2 years warranty, box and papers and a brand new tag croc strap for £2000 from a very reputable dealer in london. 50% of list price.

Very cool. There is a Tag dealer about an hour away from me that does a "SuperBowl Sunday Sale". It's 50% off anything on display! Crazy, I know! I'm hoping they have one on display in a couple weeks.

Somehow doubt it, but a few months ago when I was in the store, the sales woman I was working with told me about it and that someone picked up a Monaco last year at the sale. So, here's to hoping!!

Actually, if somehow the good Lord smiles upon me and has a Polar ExpII-42 sitting on display, I WILL be buying that...but again, I highly doubt there will be one...highly unlikely.

Its' more of a blow the old inventory sale I think.
