MB Collodi FP pics....

After much anticipation, I finally received a package from Patty @ Montblanc Houston. She knew I could have gotten the pen and ink a little cheaper elsewhere, so she went the extra mile and packed a few MB goodies in the package. I'm talking two MB CD's(Lennon/Mozart), eight different collectables books, a MB writing tablet , and a large blue velvet MB pouch. It took a while to source the broad nib, but the pen is beautiful and worth the wait.

Absolutely beautiful. The cricket on the nib is a fun touch.

Well done with the pictures. Makes me want to pull out my B nib Collodi and starting writing with it. Congrats on a great choice.

What is interesting about that is Jimminy Cricket is not a character in the book, just the Disney movie..

I think at least.

In any event, this is a beautiful set, I saw one in person at a Montblanc boutique here a week or so ago. I'm not a pen collector but the way Montblanc packages these special collections makes me wish I was. They showed me the literature for the upcoming Alfred Hitchcock set, I may actually consider purchasing that one.

From what I understand there was a wise cricket in the original book; If he could sing with a cane or tophat I don't know.....RS
