I aquired a solid 14k model 1503 with matching 14k Oyster bracelet that was very dirty. However after several hours of cleaning and polishing its coming out very nicely. I believe that its bracelet is original. I was wondering when the Rolex was made was the bracelet brushed with the center link polished, or was it all polished ? And what was about the clasp ?

I found it in a very dull but there was no brushed finish anywhere. I would like to return it to its original state.

To my knowledge and experience, all the gold bracelets of that time were polished.

Well the reason Im not so sure is I have seem these before (this is another 14k 1503).

Notice the brushed sides and the smooth center.

Yes, the photo shows a polished center and brushed ends.

I see in my old leaflets, some models with polished centers or bark finishes, but I see also a similar bracelet ( riveted ), with polished centers and brushed end links on a 6263/8 Daytona as well as a 6718/0 Lady Oyster. But these are 18 k versions.

Expert friends what is your opinion ?

I bought one in 1988 with riveted Oyster 14K solid bracelet...and, polished center links.

I want to make sure its back to the correct state. Its very nice and original.

Side links were brushed...not polished. Only the center links were polished as picked up in Switzerland back in '88.

The center links were polished with a brushed clasp. I had Dalton (ABC Watchwerks) do a 1503 for my wife with a little bling, he had a custom polished bezel made and polished the case. It could easily be turned back to its original condition very easily.
