New Seamaster 300M?
Was browsing in the Omega site and noticed the Seamaster 300M both black and blue, come with a new bezel (is it ceramic?) and no waves on the dial?

Yep its ceramic. numbers on the bezel are simillar (same ?) to the PO.
no waves on the dial and the saphire is double coated - looks like theres nothing there! very sexy looking watch! oh and the band construction is different also |

When I bought my 'first' watch, I didn't like the waves, but I kept coming back to them, mabe because I grew up at the beach. I neither like the ceramic font, nor the plain dial. Here is an obsquered, underwater shot of my pre-Bond SMP

I actually like the ceramic bezel, but it would of been fantastic if they kept the waves on the dial!

The waves have been transferred to the caseback, but I think the Waves have had their day. The new one looks extremely sharp, and it comes with the cal. 2500D with the three-level escapement. An absolute steal at the price it is!

well it might has value for some but i found just ugly despite the original Bond is one of my favourite , the oversized seahorse on the back ,the plain red accent dial and specially the ceramic bezel is a fugly interpretation of its precedor.just like Joker after the acid bath.................

I prefer the new one over the older one. I sold my older SMP BECAUSE of the distracting wavy dial and the basket weave bracelet. The new one cleans up the face...now they just have to work on that bracelet :P

I've never been a fan of "Bond blue" but love the new black SMP. I just wish it had the sword hands and markers of the discontinued 2254.50.
Hmmm. . . would a mod be possible. . .? Fr. John† |

I might actually get the new blue ceramic one instead of the GMT. I am a sucker for ceramic!

I dont know, but I am leaning more 90-10 on the GMT. I just find the GMT feature very useful, especially since I travel quite often.
Do you have the 300M GMT snowpea? Would you mind posting some pics of it plz =)

I think the "waves" have become iconic to the Omega brand so a shame if they've gone.

Will the Seamaster 300M ever go out of style?
