Icon5 Bronze buckle on skin?

Been thinking about bronze buckles these days.....Anyone have one? Anyone know of someone who has one?

Wondering how the metal reacts when directly against the skin all day....plus, when taking it on and off. Is the patina effect really, really fast? Does SS therefore make more sense for a buckle? Even when the case is bronze?

Thanks.

Panerai didn't make the buckle in bronze if that tells you anything.

Everything that I've heard is that the bronze buckle could irritate the skin. That's why many mfg's use a different metal/display back. Benarus' bronze has a titanium case back.
I asked about a bronze buckle and received
"We also don't like the idea or look of a bronze buckle, the bronze will become very dark and at the buckle it will touch your skin more".
Rob Montana makes a scorched buckle that seemed to match well with the bronze.
He'll do it on any regular buckle

yeah, that's true, assuming OP studied the advisability of having bronze against the skin, or if they simply chose to go with SS to save a few euros.

i've seen a number of people in other forums wishing OP had included a bronze buckle, but, i wasn't sure if that was just an aesthetic wish without thinking of the practical (or, rather, unpractical) side of having a bronze buckle.

Simona's "bronze" buckle looks great, and it doesn't patina or react with skin at all. It's either been coated somehow or it's not actually bronze. Have had one for months and it doesn't change at all.

Greg Stevens makes the best buckles, period. And he can flame one for you that makes a nice match with bronze.
