Just ordered my 116610LV Sub!!
Hello everyone!
First off, a special thanks to Dino for all of the amazing pictures he posted which led me to fall in love with this watch!! I would save them to my iPhone and look at them all day. It got to the point where my 4 year old son was asking to get a tattoo like Dino's! :) This will be my first Rolex. I ordered it today from an AD and should get delivery by the end of the month! Needless to say I am very, very excited. Being a Rolex novice, is there anything that I need to know or check out when I get the watch? Is the serial number important or anything like that? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks everyone! |

Another hulk sold because of Dino. Why does Rolex spend money on celebs when they have Dino pushing there product for free. Good choice the sub is a keeper. Congrats.

Congrats. I'm no expert, but my $0.02 is as follows:
Seeing as your buying new from an AD, there shouldn't really be any issue with the serial number other than making sure the number on the watch (located on the rehaut at 6 o'clock) matches that on the warranty card. There has been some discussion on this forum about the merits or lack thereof of having a random vs non random serial number, but in my opinion it does not matter if you're buying new from an AD. The only other things I can think of would be carefully making sure there are no scratches on the watch, ensuring the stickers are in place, and making sure you get all the bits and pieces (box, cleaning cloth, bezel protector, tags, any links that have been removed for sizing, instruction manual and the completed warranty card). I also asked my AD to provide me with a valuation certificate for the full retail price for insurance purposes. They were more than happy to do this. Hope this helps. |

Make sure all the sticky's are off before you post a picture. Because some people on here will call you out if they spot one. It happened to me and I had to check in to rehab for a few days, although while I was there I had nuttin to do but just stare at my watch lookin for more sticky's.
All's good on my LV now, and I would like to thank everyone for getting me on the straight and narrow of my recovery, although at times it's still difficult. On a separate note, THE REBELS HAD 20 WINS BEFORE THE MONTH OF JANUARY WAS OVER now at 21.
