Daytona....again....
My nine week old SS Daytona has been running at +1.50 seconds a day, I know I shouldn't be surprised, but I expected the number to be a higher +/-.
I gave the 4130 it's first manual wind just for the hell of it and had another pleasant surprise, what a smooth movement compared to my recently serviced Submariner 14060 (3000 movement). Have to start giving the Daytona a regular manual wind just for the feel of it. |

4130 is a superb movement indeed, i consider the best automatic chrono avaliable and the accuracy you have may will improve by the time.
i myself enjoy to wind rolex movements by hand it s superb fine feeling however do to often not very wise since it may lead to the prematured wearing of the gasket in the tube.

I set my Daytona to GMT about a week after I got it in November. It is currently about 30 seconds behind. When I take it off every night I lay it down on its side opposite of the crown. On Saturday nights I put it on the winder and dont take it off until Monday. This is the same routine since taking ownership.
I can accept 30 seconds. |
