Great story and congrats. My first watch was a Sandoz made in Switzerland, I received it from my parents when I was 13. I still have it, anyone out there heard of that brand?

Welcome and congrats on a great watch.

I can relate to your story. When I was about the same age my dad gave me a bracelet watch that he never wore. After a few days I wanted to see how it worked. It ended up becoming a sandwich bag full of little parts.
