Gold or Platinum (16622 / 16623)

I'm looking at adding either a Yachtmaster 16622 or 16623 to my collection.

Just wondered if you lovely people wouldn't mind giving an opinion or experience or even your preference between the two. Any of your images would be fantastic (good or bad).

I'm torn to be honest, so I'm hoping for anything to persuade me one way or another.

Many thanks in advance.

Kindest regards and wishing everybody a great day!!!
Paul.

Depends on what you have now. If it were going to be my only watch then 16622 would be my pick. On the other hand if you don't already have a TT in the collection then the 16623 with the black MOP dial is in my opinion one of the most beautiful watches that Rolex has made. Tough choice but either way you can't go wrong with a Yachtmaster!

I perfer the 16622, I don't like the YM in two tone as much as some of the other two tones that Rolex has to offer.

Personally, I really like the two-tone Yachtmaster. I love the one with the gray slate dial. Pure class and elegant.

For my taste TT is better left to DJ/Sub/GMT. Platinum YM is the icon of the YM range.

I too have to go with the 16622 YachtMaster as the one I would buy. I like its appearance better over the TT model!!!

I had the TT Blue Dial Yachtmaster. That was a beauty! Regret selling it...

I don't have any TT in my collection and this one factor on my mind.

I was out shopping last week for other things and just spotted a 16622 in the window and had to make an enquiry.
I did try on a 16622 and my heart sang, unfortunately the dealer didn't have a 16623 (or 16628) for a comparison, which was a real shame, because I could not make a decision which meant I wouldn't buy it right then and there whereas I probably would have if i could have seen the other models.

I'll have to make a trip into London to get a proper look at them.

I would appreciate all and any other comments and views.

Thank you
