17.4 gr @ .750 =13.05 gr of gold =.466 oz

assuming a price of $1700 per oz .466oz = $792.32 worth of gold

assuming scrap gold is bought for 50% of the daily price that would be $396.16

I don`t think scrap gold buyers offer anyting close to 50% of the daily price.

Anybody here know what scrap gold sells for on average? I reckon the dealers sell to the smelters for about 50% value.

I've felt at the watch stores that the new solid TT bracelets add a bit more weight than the older (though wonderful) ring style.

I refine mine for 98.5% of melt. I pay upward of 80%. You're WAY off .

The real Numismatist? Now that's just as much hate as I posted.

Jack of all trades, master of none? Or real Numismatist?

Currently $40 a gram for scrap 18K here in the UK. That's for 18K gold, not 99% pure.
