Have you ever had a brand new, squeaky Rolex bracelet?

I don't know if it was due to being brand new, or maybe due to the solid center links, or very small manufacturing tolerances, but the squeaking from the bracelet on my new TT Daytona was driving me crazy!

Unlike the "rattling" common to the Stainless Steel bracelets, this was like a high pitch squeak every time I moved my wrist, so today I decided to fix it for good.

The solution? Sprayed the bracelet on the inside and outside with 3M Silicone spray. I had to admit that I was a little nervous, wondering if there could be some downside to it, but I bit the bullet, applied the spray and then dried the excess with a good microfiber cloth.

So far, so good. The squeaking is completely gone, there is no residue left on the bracelet, and I am fully enjoying my watch once again!

Usually, simply washing the bracelet in warm soap and water will cure the squeak. This is very common with new bracelets and will resolve itself in a week or two with no intervention whatsoever.

Just tight tolerances of a perfected fitted bracelet. It will wear in and stop squeaking soon.

My Milgauss bracelet which is nearly the same as the Daytona took about 2 months to finally go away one on of the riveted links, but it was kind of cool and unique while it lasted.
