I'd save up for the DDII. Both Daytona and Sub are such iconic models that they are a must have for any Rolex enthusiast.

I would drop the Sub. Much easier to find the subs and you see less Daytona's around.

You appear to prefer the daytona. Keep it. That is the question you have to ask you: which one smiles at you the most when you look at it? This is THE one.

Keep the sub c and Daytona. Don't see the big deal with the DD frankly. DDIIs will be on the preowned market real soon in large numbers before the SUb C or Daytona IMO.

I agree it would appear you are leaning towards letting the Sub go however I also would pass the Daytona and keep the Sub... Such a classic and iconic watch for Rolex and goes with everything. The Daytona is a bit flashier IMO and you will have this with the DD2 which is nothing short of stunning if I may say!

IMO a SubC and DDII would be a better pairing. One sporty, one more flashy. I'd let the daytona go.

I think the price increases have caught up with the SS Daytona and limiting the profit flippers can make. 12K to 13K for any SS watch is pretty ridiculous no matter how cool or iconic the watch is. Still blows my mind I paid $3350.00 BNIB for my Rolx Sub date and they are $8,000.00 now. |
