i dont think it will disappear, because cached pages remain in google search. and it went from a civil matter to a criminal one (once threats got involved AFAIK)

If anyone posts a picture on facebook it's in the public domain. So I'd imagine if Damien Ietto is ashamed of his pictures being posted, he should not have posted them there originally. That is why the creator of facebook has stated that in the very near future, kids of today will have to change their names to avoid being linked to their unwise postings and the actions that they portray.

I would assume it would be really easy to track down the ip adress from which the veiled threat was sent. If so, the scammer may be in a little bit more trouble than he bargained for. Hopefully justice prevails.
