Icon3 WatchTime time teaser

You own a consistently unreliable watch that loses 24 minutes every hour. It currently shows the time as 3:00 p.m. You know the watch was correct at 12:00 p.m. when you set it, and you know the watch stopped one hour ago. What is the actual, correct current time?

6 pm?

Every 60 mins the watch shows 36 mins elapsed. So if the watch shows 180 mins elapsed, the real elapsed time is 180 x 60/36 = 300 mins (5 hours).

12 + 5 + 1 gives 6 pm.
