Where to repair Rolex in New York?
I recently purchased a Rolex 1024 made in 1967. It is working, but I want to have it overhauled / cleaned. The dial appears to have some minor defects as well. I travel to NYC frequently. How can I find a good (and affordable?) repair shop in NYC? Also, I see there are websites offering repair by mail, but don't know which are best, or whether it's better (and faster) to use a brick & mortar store.
Finally, a local repairman ran a quick test and told said my watch runs 15 seconds slow per day, but said that's normal for older mechanical watches. He said there's no point trying to adjust it any better. Is that true? SORRY for these newbie questions. THANKS for any info. --Jon |

I'd get in contact with one of the well know watchmakers on this forum and send it to one of them for service. Both have tons of references and can be trusted with your service
