Do you have to reset your Daytona

Since we have many Daytona owners. I guess this survey can extend to any Daytona style watch. Are you a free spirit, and can leave your timer anywhere? Or do you feel obligated to reset it to zero every time you use it?

I'm going to guess at least 95% of you need to reset the timer to zero.

I don't have the Daytona, I have the Tudor Chronograph. I keep it set to zero when I'm not timing something.

Option 3.
When I wear my Daytona, I match/start the chronometer on the small seconds dial and run it as a large second hand - always have done this. A Rolex is meant to run free.

ever since the RSC said the chrono was not meant to run at all times I just leave it stopped. If I should time something of course I will reset it, But I leave it at 15 sec so the Rolex superlative chronometer etc is showing

To be honest, on the Rolex Daytonas I have had (16520ies), I rarely used the chronograph. I only started it once a month and let it run for an hour or so to keep the oiling of the mechanism fluent, but I always reset the chrono hand to zero afterwards.

Similarly, I also always keep the triangle with the luminous dot set exactly over the triangle 12 o' clock marker on the dial on my SD.

When my chrono was an every day wearer, and they were more rare than today, I seriously got tired of people telling me my watch had stopped.

The first few times I was shocked and looked......but after a while I just got in the habit of saying "It has a stop watch function, thank you"

My Daytona has a stop watch function?!

I reset it after using the chrono function. My favorite time of Day is 12 AM or PM when everything is vertically aligned
