I visited my AD today
Hi guys,
Today I visited my Rolex AD to see a few Rolex's on my wrist! Before, I have been looking on this forum for wrist shots, I have looked at movies on youtube, I have turned the Rolex catalog inside out out... :-) but when you see a rolex in real life AND on your wrist, it' a complet new story! 1 word: amazing! I have tried on a Sub C 116610LV, a Sub ND and a Daytona TT. The Sub ND is nice, but the lack of a date function is a downer for me. Same story with the Daytona (but on the other side, I like the size of the Daytone more than the size of a Sub...) The Sub C Hulk was a watch I didn't liked on pictures, but when seeing it in real life, I must say it's pretty nice ;-) lol! Now I 100% sure I want a Sub C as next watch, I only don't know witch color... black or green :(. Also, mid march my AD will have a black Sub C in store, that means I will have to wait more than 2 weeks before I can choose! Noooooooo! On the other side, this means I can also wait and see what Rolex will bring to Bazel. What do you guys think? Black or green? |

I love the Green in pictures and even more in person. That's what I'd get.

Never seen ads that have hulks and no LNs. As for your comment about sub and Daytona size they are the same. 40mm.

I was at my AD yesterday too..finally had a Hulk in stock and got to see and try it on....
Then he tells me if I want to buy it at MSRP, I have to buy a two-tone datejust as well. Needless to say, I did not spend much time there.

+1 Agreed...the Hulk is my favorite and garners MOST of the wrist time. The dial is just SOOOO special, almost hypnotic.

I think the Sub-C is a better daily wear watch than the hulk, IMO

I think the black would be more versatile. But if you already own other watches, the Hulk would be a great addition to your collection. Just keep us updated.

I would contact Rolex about that. They are cutting down on ADs and I don't think your story will fly well with Rolex.

I'd probably go with the LN, but I've only seen 1 LV in the wild and it is real nice.

Crystal on the Sub C is smaller than the Daytona, right? That could make it appear larger.
My Tudor Submariner looks tiny next to my 39 Explorer. But they're roughly the same.

Even still, the whole "well, I'm holding this Green sub for someone but I COULD sell it to you if you were to, say, buy another Rolex that is not as popular" did not really site well with me. Shame too as NYC has a limited number of AD's even given the massive market for the watches here

I have both the Daytona and Green Ceramic Sub. For some reason the Green Sub wears alot bigger than the Daytona.
