Ooh, that's got some real possibilities. Excuse me while I wipe the slobber off the keyboard.

Actually, it's a knockoff of the Sinn 903 in a different dial colour
When Helmut Sinn bought the rights to the Navitimer dial design when Breitling went out of business, one of the things agreed upon was the use of a different method for using the bezel. Sinn uses an internally rotating bezel, which is what the crown on the left side is for. Apparently, Sinn also bought dials and some other parts from Breitling at that same time, so a lot of the early Sinn "navitimers" were a lot more Breitling that in appearance alone. |

Wow, I just learned a bunch of stuff. I didn't know Breitling went belly up and was resurrected. And I didn't know Sinn had anything to do with them.
Great stuff! Thanks Bruce! |

Didn't know any of that either Bruce. Thanks. When did they go under and why?

I think it was during the 70s all on account of the quartz revolution. It took down a lot of the Swiss houses.

Wow, I didn't know Breitling went belly up either. I guess you learn something new every day. I guess I didn't know about it because it was in the 70's, thats like when the dinosaurs roamed. No wait that was the hippies. Not much difference except hippies were peace loving and constantly stoned. (no offense to anyone)

I thought that Stratoshpere looked familiar. I was recently almost tempted by the Sinn, but on close examination, it wasn't a Breitling and it is certainly not the Olympus.
But thanks for the info on Breitling, Bruce. That's interesting stuff.
