Only 500 of them made worldwide ??
Hi Gents,
Although I am a newbie here, this particular auction piqued my interest along with the comment "Only 500 of them made worldwide." I know the 3186 is a newer and sought after movement but only 500 made? Also, 11,500 USD seems waaay too high for this. If I'm mistaken please advise. Thanks :) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rolex-GMT-Ma...#ht_2643wt_952 |

This looks good to me. The price is high due to its rarity.

There was a batch of 'Z's made around Z7***** and a batch of 'M's around M3*****.
Whether these two batches amounted to 500 only Rolex knows. There were a lot of changes to the 3185 movement to make the 3186. Some will agree some wil disagree. Whether this watch is worth the premium. Some will agree some will disagree. There are buyers and sellers and only time will tell.
