Icon7 GerardoG and I had a GTG in Mexico!

I've corresponded with Gerardo several times in the past and after the last time I was in Quintana Roo, I promised him I'd try to visit with him next time I'm there. Well, we worked it out and met in Playa del Carmen.

Gerardo suggested a restaurant, and we enjoyed wonderful food and wine together. Then we strolled down the Avenue to take in the sights while we enjoyed some lovely Romeo & Julietta Cuban cigars, courtesy of Gerardo (thanks again amigo!). After a stop for a cocktail, we visited the newest AD to take a look at some watches, esp. Rolex. My girlfriend tried on a couple, liked the Platty YM (smaller) and really loved the RG Daytona with the ceramic bezel until she saw the price (she wasn't up on how much these things run). But they both looked fantastic on her! We continued our visit a while longer and parted ways later in the evening, but it was truly a great time. Thanks again Gerardo!

Oh and Gerardo was sporting his black-dialed 116613 (so much better than smurf-blue IMO and the way to go with a 116613), while I had my SMP with me on the trip, which unfortunately broke on the last day (story on other thread(s)).

Hi David!

My pleasure; I enjoyed meeting you, and talking watches throughout the evening. I hope you have had a great stay, sorry to hear about your SMP.
