New Yachtmaster is Growing

Just saw the new 2012 models on the Rolex website. I must admit the new blue dial Yachtmaster is really growing on me. Anyone venture an educated guess when it will be available in the USA and what the MSRP will be?

As per most Basel releases, September or October is the norm!

Price....can't help you there!

Sounds about right as the current is 11200 USD. It certainly will be more with the updates and perhaps a price increase between now and the release of the new models.

That's the beauty of Rolex - the design changes slowly on the iconic models so the vintage ones look just as cool as the new ones. Congrats on your DD

I'm liking the blue Yachtmaster too but prices will definitely be high until demand dies down.

I think Rolex waits way too long before releasing models.

When they reveal them at basel, there is more hype, and people want them instantly, by making them wait, it may remove interest, and won't be as nice as having it when it is revealed at Basel.

I agree, Apple have got it right. Announce a new model and have it instantly available.

Rolex should get the robots working 24/7 at the factory and cancel their breaks so they can stockpile the new watches before Basel.

I agree but they have a great marketing technique that works. With months and months of anticipation and then Basel World. And we wait even a gew more months for it to be on the market. So that even more anticipation builds up and when it is finally released we all gladly pay the higher prices!!! Gives us plenty of time to justify why we need the latest model. The life cycle of a Rolex WIS! btw, the new Red Tudor is pretty sweet too!

Depending on what part of the country you're in, you may be able to get one July or August.

I tend to think that the effect is quite the opposite.

Besides, there are a lot of watch buyers and Rolex buyers, too, who have no idea what Basel is and probably don't give a hoot--probably most don't give a hoot!

It's a trade show.

They sure didn't waste any time, but you should know that such links and discussions are not allowed here.

That's not the Rolex site.

I really hoped for a ceramic bezel on the YM, the current one looks horrible after a few months & can not easily be refinished...

Links to replica sites are not welcome on these boards!
It's also against the TRF rules to do so......

If you wish to research these items, there's other forums for that.
This site is for legitimate watches only, let's keep it that way!

Nice Watch, with blue dial, problem with this watch is it depreciates like a driving a brand new Cadillac out of th showroom & I dont think the dial and buckle factors are strong enough catalysts to change that.
